Variegated Virginia Creeper | Parthenocissus quinquefolia 'Star Showers'
- This Virginia creeper features highly variegated foliage with an attractive, paint-splashed appearance
- The green, five-fingered leaves are speckled with cream and lighter greens in a charmingly irregular manner. In the autumn months, the leaves take on a pinkish hue
- Although this variety is slightly less vigorous than some other Virginia creepers, it will still easily clothe an ugly fence or tired, bare wall
- You can also train your plant up a structure like an arbour, pergola or trellis to add instant interest (and privacy) to your garden
- This plant is a tough ol' thing and make no mistake! Frost-hardy down to temperatures of -20°C, and tolerant of both exposed locations and drought, "unfussy" is this plant's middle name
- It's recommended that you give your young plant some support (like wall wiring or some canes) for the first one or two years. Over time, the plant will develop adhesive suckers and support will no longer be needed
- Please Note: Our climbers are pruned back each winter, and some during the summer, so you may find at certain times of year they do not cover the whole 90cm cane. This is intentional to ensure the best growth when you plant out
